Is this laptop powerful enough to run as a home/email server, ie access it via a web browser?

ps it would be linked through a wireless router with a dynamic ip, is this a problem?

If you use it as a server it needs specific requirments such as atleast windows XP pro not home or media. But yes you oculd use it as a server is you have the specific requirments that are needed.

Yes, you can setup your laptop as a web/mail server if you have any cpu/memory/space/nic. Depending on what OS you are running, you will need to install server software to do what you need to do.





As for running a dynamic IP address, you might run into some configuration headaches. DNS will need to be updated as often as your IP changes.
