Your numbers seem to be off. I don't understand how 7000 users can only have 25000 messages. That is approx 3 and 1/2 messages per user. Any email account will get more then that in spam. If you are already providing file and print sharing for 7000 users I would recommend a dedicated box. Using a more reasonable number, say 250,000 messages per day, which is more like 35 messages per user, you are now hosting a total of 500 GB to 1 Terabyte of mail everyday, I don't think you want to put that much stress on your other equipment.
