I want to make yahoo my email server, not outlook...HELP?

Just don't use Microsoft Outlook. If it automatically opens, try to find an option to prevent that.

Microsoft Outlook stinks, but you can access e-mails without the Internet sometimse, while with Yahoo! you cannot.

I personally suggest GMAIL %26lt;www.gmail.com%26gt; offering the most space and unique organization for all of your e-mail needs.

Reply:Sorry if I misunderstand your question, but:

If you are trying to make it so that when you click an email link on a web site, it uses your Yahoo account, this is not possible. Outlook is the primary program for POP3 email servers (there are others as well but Outlook is generally the most popular). POP3 is the type of email that you have to use a program on your computer to access.

Yahoo is web-based email, not POP3. It can only be accessed by logging in to the web site, not by a program on your computer.

Outside programs can only work with POP3 email, not web-based.
Reply:go to ur control panel,u should be able to change it in there...also make yahoo ur homepage, that done it for me.in ur browser go to tools-internet options put www.yahoo.com as home page..hit ok or apply..that helped me on my mail...hope this helps
Reply:you can't do it, becaue outlook is a program on your PC so when a command to send email is done it goes to default system program. now since yahoo is not a program but just a service provided over the website.... you are NOT able to send the same command to web browser
Reply:do you already have a yahoo account, if you do just sign in to yahoo and click on mail from www.yahoo.com
