i work for a small business (15+people). my boss has recently purchased two blacbkerry's and while he had one before, i think there will be more added before too long. we currently do not have an exchange server or anything like it, although i have everyone setup through outlook 2003. spam is a HUGE issue in our office and also i think it woudl be great if we could share calendars and view our actual outlook / calendars from outside the office. problem is, i just don't know where to start. i am NOT an IT person by trade but i do handle it for my office. i'm just trying to figure out if exchange is the way to go (or something similar) or is there another solution made for smaller businesses. p.s. setting up a blackberry without exchange is no easy task. i know that exchange would at least make that part easier)
i'm also just looking for a simplified explanation of what exchange does - benefits, tools, etc., drawbacks - can anyone help please???
